I've been playing tennis all of my life. As me and my family traveled the world we always play tennis together.
I played tennis throughout high school, training extensively at the Roosevelt Island Racquet Club in New York City, where I focused on refining my form and developing strategic aspects of my game.
I love tennis not just because of the game, but of the ability it allows me to leave my emotions from my day outside of the court. Tennis brings me a sense of relaxation and excitement that I hope I can carry with me for a long time.
After moving to Kent, I continued my dedication to the sport, working my way through the team to play as the first seed on the JV tennis team, and now attained a spot on the Varsity Tennis team.
I started skiing almost as soon as I could walk. My dad would take my brother and me to the mountains every weekend he could, teaching us the intricacies of the sport—how to carve precise turns, control our speed, and find our rhythm on the slopes. Family and friends often joined us on these ski trips, but skiing felt different to me than it did to them; while they focused on reaching the bottom, I was captivated by the discipline of perfecting my form, feeling the edge of each ski grip into the snow, and aligning each movement with purpose. Summers brought us to a ski racing camp in the mountains of Switzerland, where my brother and I trained rigorously for competitions. What initially felt like an obligation became a profound opportunity to push ourselves, refine our skills, and grow in the sport. Each summer, that camp became more than just a training ground—it became a second home, and a place where I discovered the joy and resilience that skiing has instilled in me.
Soccer has been a lifelong passion, from watching matches with my father to playing pickup games with friends at the neighborhood park. I initially joined a travel team called FFA, where I trained daily in preparation for games and tournaments. However, during middle school and part of high school, I stepped back from competitive soccer to focus on academics and other extracurriculars. When I arrived at Kent, I realized that my passion for the sport hadn’t faded, so I rejoined the field as a member of the school’s soccer team as a right back, reigniting the same dedication and love for the game that had always driven me.
